After closing at work I wanted to do a little something creative before bed since I still felt too awake to go to sleep. I grabbed a cheap sketchbook and just started doodling. I wasn’t worried about wasting supplies since it was an inexpensive pad. Turns out it’s a lot easier to be creative without the pressure of messing up. I also knew I wasn’t creating it with the intent to sell. I just wanted to make something I liked. Try a new style. Get out what was bottled up. It was easy to bounce back and forth between ideas, leaving doodles at all different stages of completion. It was kind of liberating for my chaotic brain to just express it all at once in the order the ideas came to me. The cool thing about art isn’t just the result, but the process. Over a couple of days I created 6 new designs I decided to turn into stickers! It feels so good to make again.
